Prepare your TikTok account for Inktaro
What to check before connecting TikTok to Inktaro, and what TikTok's approval process means for publishing.
Before you connect
- Make sure you are signed in to the TikTok account you actually want to publish to.
- Use TikTok's own authorization screen. Inktaro does not ask for or store your TikTok password.
- Review the permissions TikTok shows before accepting them.
What Inktaro needs
TikTok's official Direct Post flow requires the publishing app to have the video.publish permission and the TikTok user to authorize it. Before each direct post, the API also provides the creator's current privacy and interaction options, so the publishing interface can respect them.
Current status
Inktaro's TikTok integration is being built. Once it's ready, it goes through TikTok's review. TikTok documents that unaudited Direct Post clients are restricted to private posting, so until TikTok approves Inktaro, videos stay private. TikTok shows as Approval pending until then.
Before your first post
Check the target username shown in Inktaro, choose the visibility and interaction settings offered for that account, and review any commercial-content or AI disclosure that applies to the video.
